It Takes Two - A Tribute to Rod Stewart and Tina Turner Winnipeg Concert reviews
Disappointing Concert
The venue was terrible, first of all. Way too low are the stage and the video screens on both sides of the stage. They should be much higher. Most people were standing during the Skynrd part, so you can't see in front of you whether sitting or standing.
Joan Jett cancelled 4 days before the concert and was replaced by some mediocre at best no-name band. This replacement band was so bad that a video of a previous It Takes Two - A Tribute to Rod Stewart and Tina Turner concert shown on the screens would have been a better solution. What would have been even better is for Skynyrd to play a longer set. No partial refund of our ticket price!
Not to mention the guy right in back of us who sang along loudly with every song. He should have realized there is a reason the lead singer was on stage and he wasn't. It was very difficult to hear the professional we had paid to hear, especially since we couldn't SEE the professional band on stage due to the poor concert venue layout.
Probably won't go to Laughlin Event Center again. All in all, a disappointing night.
